Field Engineer - Drives and Controls

In this job you will perform hardware and software design engineering tasks leading to the development

of software and circuitry for real time industrial process control systems, perform process application

design and programming of digital power conversion systems to power AC and DC drives, install and

commission industrial control systems including tune-up of closed loop regulators, troubleshoot and

correct process application problems in complex control systems configured with multiple controllers and

local area networks. You will also provide leadership to promote good customer teamwork

during the on-site phase of a project and introduce leading technology.

 

BSEE or BSME required. 3 — 5 years experience with AC and DC Drives and Controls used in the AC

and DC motors for industrial process control. Experience with PLC programming. Good communication

skills. Ability to travel and work at customer sites worldwide. Personal computer hardware and software

skills.

 

Eight to ten years of experience with Metals, Material Handling, Paper and General Industry processes

and customers. Foreign language skills and/or international experience. Proven leadership skills.
