Facilities Manager
Job Description:
Provides support to the Operations Department in managing thin film solar cell manufacturing facility. Position will report to the Director of Fab Operations. This position is located in Newark, CA.
This position requires leadership, attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and ability to plan and work independently. The ideal candidate will be capable of driving internal and external projects to completion on time. Must possess interpersonal skills to interface effectively with production, engineering, management, and corporate professionals. This role will be independent and hands-on, requiring the ability to manage and resolve ongoing facility improvements.
Qualifications:BS Degree in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent knowledge and work experienceMinimum of 10 years of Facility Maintenance experience in semiconductor, flat panel or PV industry.2 years experience supervising technicians.Working knowledge and / or demonstrated capability for:Construction managementOperation of RO DI H20, HVAC, CDA, PCW, and waste water treatment systemsOptimizing manufacturing site for lower utility costs, lower facility maintenance costs and 24/7 production operation.Eliminating all facility caused interruptions to production and ability to be creative during expansions and build outs to add facilities w/o impacting production.Office cube planning and installationPreventive maintenance monitoring, scheduling, and executionShift scheduling of facilities support staffProficient in AutoCad and MS Project, MS Word and MS ExcelVendor relations
