Fabrication Technician III
Fabrication Technician IIIDescription: Primary Responsibility: Work under minimal supervision to perform various standard and non-standard optical fabrication, coating process and laser assembly tasks.Major Responsibilities:** Fabricate products of complex difficulty, high specialization and variety, generally without assistance.** Perform Coating processes as well as taking responsibility for complete operation of chamber and assisting in the design of coatings.** Perform Inspection and cleaning processes as well as defining methods and assisting with the design of optical instruments.** Perform Laser Assembly and Test, working on non-standard product with no documentation. ** Recommend improvements for ineffective procedures, designs or specifications, as well as occasionally designing and developing manufacturing processes.** Train Technician 1 and 2 employees on complex products and inspect their work as needed.** Work with Management to develop state-of-the-art technology and products. Requirements: ** 2 year Technical Degree or a minimum of 5 years optics or laser manufacturing experience.Volt is an equal opportunity employer.
