FACILITIES / SAFETY MANAGER
Turbo Combustor Technology Inc., a leader in aerospace manufacturing is seeking an experience individual with an extensive background in facility, electrical and industrial plant engineering. These skills should be complemented by strong supervision, reasoning and deductive skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily review and prioritization of open work orders for completion.Supervision of all maintenance personnel. Management of open work orders and filing of closed work orders.Upon development, issuing of PM (Preventative Maintenance) work orders as required by the facility PM Program.Responsible for completion of hot work, line breaking, and confined space permits for his crew as necessary in accord with company safety policies. Developing relationships with contractors as appropriate for the purpose of obtaining quotations for work to be completed on site. Also responsible for monitoring contractor safety performance and assuring that all TCT safety policies and procedures are followed by contractors. Responsible for obtaining safety performance information from contractors prior to awarding of work in accord with plant safety policy for the purpose of pre-approval of contractors for site work.Obtaining quotations from contractors for maintenance and capital project work at the facility in accord with company procedures and policies.Management and direction of contractor work at the facility involving capital or plant maintenance projects or activities. Writing of “Authorizations for Expenditure” and “Capital Expenditure Request” as needed relating to plant maintenance and operational improvements.Management of “expenditure” projects and major maintenance projects within the facility. Provide guidance toward development of process improvements for existing plant processes or potential future plant processes.Order spare parts and supplies as necessary to assure the availability of essential materials necessary for the maintenance, repair, and operation of plant equipment and structures. Serve as primary manager of plant safety initiatives, including conducting safety audits.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) year college degree is required in an engineering (preferably mechanical or chemical engineering), chemical, management, or related fields. Five (5) – seven (7) years work experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Related plant experience or experience related to facility and equipment maintenance is required. Candidate must possess general knowledge of OSHA regulations, lock-out-tag-out procedures and hazard communication.
