Extruder Operator

Mercury Wire is looking for an experienced extruder operator.  This position is primarily responsible for setting up and operating:  A complex production line and all related equipment and processes or multiple advanced machines for multiple simultaneous related processes.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

²  Run, setup and troubleshoot complex production line or multiple advanced machines & simultaneous related processes

Machines:  Same or similar to: 2,  40, 41, 52, 15 & 30, 6 &  18, 10 & 21, 13 & 20 & 25, etc.
Processes:  Same or similar to: Primary extrusion, Foam jacketing, Shielding, Cabling, etc.

²  Read, use and interpret multiple types of standard and advanced documents.

²  Perform quality inspections and processes using established methods and specifications.  Interpret requirements from prints/customer specifications for a wide variety of products.  Consult with engineering and other support functions.

²  Identify and use many dissimilar types of materials

²  Monitor equipment condition and perform preventative maintenance
