Expediter - Night Shift

SHOP EXPEDITER – NIGHT SHIFT

 

Reports directly to Lead Expediter; indirectly to NS Production Supervisor

 

 

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for ensuring all parts (purchased and manufactured) are available to complete work orders on schedule, advising supervisors of parts availability and work order priority.

 

Position Responsibilities:Follows all department work orders through to completion (expediting and rescheduling as required)Promptly identifies delays or supply problemsCommunicates effectively regarding results of completion and investigation of parts availabilityInterfaces with various shop supervisors or group leaders, as instructedMakes improvement recommendations to Supervisor/ManagerHelps supervisors with area metrics 

Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent certificationStrong computer skills, including Windows and ExcelAble to efficiently use Avante, the Company’s Materials Requirement Planning SoftwareAble to work in an industrial shop environmentPrevious manufacturing experienceKnowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) software
