Equipment Set-Up Technician
Clairon Metals Corporation in Covington, GA has immediate openings for press changeover technicians on our 2nd and 3rd shifts. Â

Clairon Metals is a metal-stamping company that manufactures more than 700 metal parts for lawnmowers, ATVs, motorcycles, etc. We are a 20-year old growing and profitable company that employs more than 270 employees. See our website at www.claironmetals.com for more information about the company.

Successful candidate will set-up press equipment by removing and re-installing press tooling for the production of parts. The technician makes tooling adjustments, troubleshoots, and tests the operation of equipment to insure the production of quality parts. Employee will also be responsible for inspecting parts using standard inspection equipment. Changeover technicians may also be responsible for operating a press. The technician must work with a sense of urgency to minimize press downtime.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 12 months prior experience setting dies in a metal stamping plant. In the absence of direct experience, must have a mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience based on past work history (auto mechanic, small engine repair, etc) Must have experience operating a forklift. Must have own tools.

All candidates must have the ability to work with minimal supervision on time sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English, be able to lift up to 40 lbs., have a stable work history, and excellent attendance record.

Minimum salary is $11.00 per hour. Higher salary for experienced die setters in metal manufacturing.
