Environmental Technician II / Billing Specialist

Location: New Orleans, LA Position:  Billing Specialist / Tech II   Provide all labor, material, supervision, tools and equipment necessary to perform the work and services described in any P.O. Release issued against this Agreement. Contractor, as a licensed and reputable waste disposal service provider, shall manage the disposal of the waste, which may be non-hazardous solid waste, special waste or hazardous waste (as those terms are hereinafter defined) to a related or third party hauler, pursuant to the instructions and directions of Owner, on behalf of Owner. All waste disposed of or managed under this Agreement shall be designated by Owner, and Contractor shall dispose of or manage any such waste in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and as designated by Owner. Any waste disposed of or managed under this Agreement is described and identified in one of the Exhibits attached hereto or will be described in a future document as specific waste streams and management practices are identified. The terms "dispose" and "manage" and their respective derivatives may be used interchangeably and are defined to mean collection, treatment, storage, recycle, reclaim, transport, transfer, dispose, manage, or a similar word and each of their respective derivatives.   Billing Related Duties: Track manifests, Track various costs for billing, box rentals, offsite shipments, onsite labor, 3rd party onsite labor box washouts, Box repairs, Box liners, Rental equipment, Equipment repairs, Generate purchase orders for vendors, Complete general office duties, Copying, Faxing, Contacting subcontractors regarding invoices Filing, Generate invoices for billable services, Contact Valero Accounting Department as needed regarding payment status issues, Reviews/verify Valero reconciliation labor reports, Reviews/verify landfill Jefferson Parish and Woodside Landfill Reports   Field Related Duties (as needed and as time permits): Inspect satellite accumulation areas *Check drums for integrity (replace as needed) *Check lids/rings for integrity (replace as needed) *Verify labels are on drums (replace as needed) *Remove contents of full drums (replace garbage bag in the drum)  *Discard trash and debris within the units Remove contents of hoppers throughout the facility *Empty bottles from the Lab *Filters from the DHT Unit Empty SAA drums & hoppers into designated onsite roll off containers Remove and replace booms in ponds Collect and replace recycle bins throughout the facility for Shred It (subcontracted paper recycler for Valero) *LPB Building (1 container) *West Plant Oil Movement Building (1 container) *West Plant Maintenance Trailer (2 containers) *West Plant Reliability Building (1 container) * East Plant Projects Trailer Area (2 containers) Transport various drums throughout the facility to the <90 day storage pad *Label per Valero's request *Secure drums as needed Transport universal waste to the New Sarpy Warehouse *Light bulbs *Computers *Lead Acid Batteries Assist with universal waste shipments Empty contents of aerosol cans into the accumulation drum via the Aerosolv unit Clean-up spilled cat fines at the full laydown yard using a Bobcat Assist with in-plant spill responses Assist Valero representatives with sampling Assist with Valero and 3rd party projects Assist Waste Management team members and subcontractors in completing their responsibilities as needed To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE
