Engineering and Documentation Administrator

Job Description:

This position supports Segue’s engineering and sourcing departments with rapid and accurate data entry of engineering and material information into our database, development and ownership of informational spreadsheets, and clerical support for creating and maintaining documents.  The position also supports follow-up phone and e-mail correspondence to suppliers and customers.

Duties:

* Enters part data from quotation spreadsheets into our enterprise system

* Follows up with the sourcing department to complete cost breakdown lists,  including e-mail or phone correspondence with outside suppliers.

* Files electronic and paper documents per requirements.    Releases controlled documents to our intranet and data servers

* Generates Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations   from instructions provided by engineers or managers.

* Responsible for engineering data integrity validation, analysis, and error correction   (Support of new Engineering ERP system migration)

* Provides documentation support for continuous improvement teams

* Supports generating regular company metric reports

Skills/Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with analyzing, organizing and entering information associated with engineering or operational documentation. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in creating Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. Spreadsheet and data analysis skills a plus. MRP system data entry and Internet search expertise are expected along with > 40 wpm typing speed. Key attributes are great attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, time organization, good written and verbal communication, and the ability to quickly learn new business processes.  Growth in computer skills will be supported and encouraged. A minimum of 12-16 months experience in a similar environment is a plus. Flexible and family work hours can be supported.
