Engineering - Manufacturing
Engineer-Manufacturing Manufacturing Engineer needed to evaluate and improve a variety of manufacturing processes through procedural or mechanical means. Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, Design of experiments, and TS 16949 knowledge preferred.  Experience or knowledge of automated assembly, PLCs, metallurgy, CAD, metal stamping, plastic injection, and OSHA, would all be a plus. A mininum of a Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Micro Contacts is a long island manufacturer of precision assemblies and the chosen individual would be working within operations to incrementally improve existing production processes through a variety of means. Micro Contacts is part of a larger organization called the Micro Group with divisons in Florida and Costa Rica.  However the engineer desired would be working in the new york facility. We are looking for a self motivated individual interested who can review existing processes and determine and implement improvements big and small on the production floor. Â
