Through our Climate Control Technologies sector and Thermo King and Hussmann brands, we provide global solutions for the transportation and retail refrigeration market.
The Engineer will participate in the technical development of Retail Solutions products by specifying components, testing concepts, and determining the best in class designs within each of their domains. This person will be a team member on product engineering projects. Participate in the development of product designs that conform to merchandising requirements, structural requirements, refrigeration performance, energy efficiency, cost expectations, safety requirements, and manufacturing efficiency. Develop Complex Layouts/Models, generate detailed drawings and specifications for refrigerated display case products within established timeframe and cost parameters. Review work for accuracy and completeness. Select engineering components and materials, in collaboration with global sourcing and after-market strategies that meet the product design requirements. Work closely with Testing & Reliability RSA to ensure product design specifications are meet. Create documentation including material bills to convey product designs to production, suppliers, and customers utilizing Windchill PLM process. Support manufacturing engineering during the pilot phase of  project implementation, coordinating design changes and product improvements.Â
Candidates for this position will have an Engineering degree. Will have 0 to 7 years experience with a proven track record with successful and high performance product design. This individual will have a strong analytical pragmatic approach. They will know how to identify and focus in the most critical high impact issues required to ensure timely delivery of services, projects, and products.
