Summary:
The embedded software engineer will fill a crucial role in the product development group at SAGE Electrochromics as we develop innovative sensor-based control systems, photovoltaic-powered products and integration solutions for building and lighting automation systems. This individual will develop software from specifications and architecture through implementation and testing within a fast-moving, intellectually challenging and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with product development, marketing and customer solutions groups to define and document product requirementsWrite embedded software used to control SageGlass® productsDevelop PC-based software for configuration and remote controlPlan and perform adequate verification to ensure high-quality software.
Requirements:
A degree in electrical engineering, computer science & engineering, or equivalentMinimum of two years experience with embedded softwareThorough understanding of analog and digital hardware use in embedded systemsDemonstrated capability of developing software from requirements through testingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate across functions with e.g. marketing, customer solutions.
The ideal candidate will also have:
Experience with C and assembly on PIC microprocessorsExperience with Visual StudioExperience using LabView for testing and/or automationDatabase and/or IT skills
