Electrical and Mechanical Reliability Engineer
ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel company is seeking Mechanical and Electrical Reliability Engineers for its Indiana Harbor plant. Indiana Harbor is located in East Chicago, about 25 miles from the Chicago loop.
Job Description:
Act as a specialist to assist in development, installment and guidance for the new World Class Equipment Reliability program for the ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor Plant. The intent is to elevate the ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor Plant to a world-class maintenance level.
Job Requirements:
Assist in the development and implementation of ArcelorMittal’s World Class Equipment Reliability (WCER) program at the Indiana Harbor facility. The WCER program is needed to close the gap between the plant’s current state capabilities and the future requirements needed to elevate to World Class Equipment Reliability. Experienced in the developing and implementing of maintenance programs. Knowledge of RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) would be preferred. Recommending and/or performing predictive, preventative and emergency maintenance of equipmentResearching, designing, evaluating, installing, modernizing, redesigning, operating, maintaining and repairing machinery and equipmentResolving equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action.Planning and scheduling of maintenance/engineering projectsReading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reportsAnalyzing current maintenance performance and standard maintenance procedures, and making recommendations for improvementPerforming various other duties as needed to support the World Class Equipment Reliability program.
Minimum Experience:
Experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering in a factory environments is preferred.
Education Requirements:
B.S. or equivalent experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance and/or Engineering. A background in reliability based maintenance processes, continuous improvement methodology and implementation is a plus.
The successful applicant must be able to work in a “steel mill” environment (multilevel, temperature extremes ranging from cold to hot).
