Electrical Drafter

MQ Power is a leading manufacturer of high-quality portable power generators from 20kW to 2000MW.  We have embarked on an R&D design and documentation project for one of our product lines.  This is a contract position with possibility of becoming a direct hired at competion of project.

This position is based in our Lewisville, TX facility and be relied upon the provide actual manufacturing date to the rest of the design team in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

· The contractor will provide their own PC and licensed AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT software (2006 or later).

· The contractor will conduct tasks as needed offsite (home office or other location). 

· The Engineering Manager or designee(s) will submit material (via email) to be drafted to contractor.  It is expected most items be returned within 24 hours.  If not possible, communicate a reasonable schedule to the Engineering Manager.

· Contractor will use sound electrical drafting symbols, AutoCAD techniques, etc. to complete the assignment.

· All materials are the property of MQ Power and a non-disclosure agreement will need to be signed.

 

Education and/or Experience  

· Five years of AutoCAD 2006 (or later)

· Five years experience drafting electrical control schematics, 3-line diagrams, 1-line diagrams.

 

Other Skills

· Strong verbal, communication, time management and organizational skills

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
