Division Quality Engineer
DIVISION QUALITY ENGINEER Cooper Lighting, based in Peachtree City, Georgia, is an industry-leading manufacturer of lighting products for commercial, industrial, residential, utility and retail markets and is a division of Cooper Industries, a Fortune 500 Company. We have an immediate opportunity for a division-level QA Engineer, reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance. The position will be responsible for developing and deploying quality assurance procedures and systems, leading product improvement teams, auditing manufacturing processes to ensure compliance, and resolving manufacturing/supplier quality-related issues. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Lead multi-location product improvement teams. Establish a comprehensive measurement and feedback system to validate product improvements. 2. Lead the quality effort on all new products during development, market introduction and, warranty performance. 3. Manage initiatives aimed at driving supplier quality, delivery, and cost to maximize customer satisfaction. 4. Reduce the cost of non-conformance throughout the Division. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.3-7 years experience in Quality 2. Experience in PPAP, ISO 9000, PFMEA’s, and DFMEA’s highly desired. 3. Experience with electromechanical products required. 4. Experienced internal and external auditor. 5. Ability to lead teams and influence across the company Travel up to 50%. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. BS in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with ballast knowledge. 2. CQE a plus.
