Clover is currently seeking an experienced professional to assume the position of Distribution Operations Manager in a rapidly expanding facility located in Calexico, California.

 

This is a challenging opportunity to provide strategic leadership for a company that is growing – a leader in their field that is known for entrepreneurship, creative thinking and taking care of their employees. In this role you will be responsible for all warehouse operations in a 110,000 sq.ft. facility which includes staffing for a potential of 50 or more associates. This is an opportunity to apply one’s technical knowledge, business acumen & leadership skills to significantly impact corporate performance. It is a highly visible position reporting to the Vice-President of Distribution.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

 Effectively communicate with associates and supervision with all issues related to customer satisfaction and continuous improvementReview twice daily operational goals, accomplishments, and potential problemsResponsible for hiring, training, and performance of personnelAdjust staffing levels up or down based on current volumeTrack productivity data and implement programs for improvementProduce performance reports and executive summary reports monthlyEnsure compliance to safe work practices at all timesEnsure all key metrics for inbound and outbound processing, and inventory control etc., are consistently met or exceededMust be able to operate in an efficient/cost conscious manner so that all budgeted objectives are achievedMaintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour readyâ€� at all timesWork closely with senior management on all Human Resource issuesIdentify areas for improvement in all aspects of the warehouse operating, further develop standard operating procedures and implement on all shiftsInvestigate the possible implementation of an incentive programManage the facilities housekeeping program to ensure all areas are continuously free of a debrisAbility to manage an expanding operation with total team building and management responsibilityCreate and maintain a well-trained staff that could be promoted through cross training and mentoringAbility to plan for and implement the seamless transition of our West Coast customers.

 

Qualifications include:

 At least 3-5 years experience managing high volume warehouse operationExperience managing at least 50 non-exempt associates reporting directly to this positionBS or BA degree (advance management education is definitely a plus)Absolute commitment to customer satisfaction and the people on the floorStrategic thinker who has the ability to implement ideas on the floor with great successWorking knowledge of ISO/QS?TS quality systems preferredStrong experience with lean/flexible inventory systemBilingual, English/Spanish
