Job Summary: The Director of Quality Control is responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements. Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety.  Determine and enforce through functional groups, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs, based on current regulations and state-of-the-art product development.  Organize and promote company wide quality improvement efforts.  Evaluate and develop improvement techniques for the control of quality, reliability and safety. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction, and support of quality programs and personnel to ensure safety, reliability and quality of end products and that customer needs and specifications are met. Coordinate activities and maintenance to retain compliance for ISO and company Policies, Procedures and Processes. Directly responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company quality system, reporting on performance of the quality system for review and as a basis of improvement of the quality system. The Quality Manager is also responsible to act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality system. Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and prepares documentation for inspection testing procedures. Responsible for ensuring conformance to in-house specifications and good manufacturing practices and may conduct training programs. Responsible for conducting routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials. Compiles data for documentation of test procedures and reports abnormalities. Review data obtained for compliance with specifications and reports abnormalities. Revise and update standard operating procedures and may perform special projects on analytical and instrument problem solving. Responsible for performing audits of production and quality control. He or she ensures compliance to in-house specifications, standards, and good manufacturing practices. Other tasks as assigned by manager.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree, Additional work experience in management and problem-solving. (Statistical Quality Control/Statistical Process Control).

Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment, advanced knowledge in ISO processes and procedures

 

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical skills, a sense of urgency, and ability to take ownership and figure things out when not all of the information is readily available. Strong customer orientation Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly Strong oral and written communication skills Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration Excellent interpersonal skills Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Word software Attention to detail
