Director of Marketing and Business Development/Phila/Pitts/Chicago
This position is with a 75 year old company well established in its’ industry.
The Director of Marketing and Business Development reports to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and will be responsible for leading commercial marketing efforts in the United States.
The position will require: interacting with both internal and external senior management personnel; planning and execution of marketing activities, developing key business relationships with high-level customer contacts; maintaining customer relations; sustaining current business; developing new business; marketing quotes on major projects; budgetary responsibilities, to include proposals, ROI, etc.
In order to be successful you will have 10 to 15 years of marketing and business development experience preferably in a steel mill, metal recovery, scrap or related industry. You should have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to relate with a wide variety of personnel.
Additionally, you should have excellent negotiating skills, be comfortable with five to ten year contracts and legal language associated with the contracts. You also will have had hands on experience with financials, to include responsibility for contractual agreements with client.
Ability to travel 30% and a Bachelor’s Degree is required (Master’s degree is preferred).
