Director of Human Resources  - North America

We are a multinational company, market driven, using leading edge materials technology to provide creative solutions to customers’ problems through innovative applications engineering, particularly in energy management systems and environmental improvement.

 

Reporting to the Regional Managing Director for North America, you will develop and implement HR policies and practices  to provide and maintain suitably skilled and highly engaged employees across the region, to support the business in meeting its short term and long term business goals and objectives. You will be in charge of the relationships with the trade unions and the labor force in our various North American plants.

 

Requirements:

 

• 15 or more years of experience in a business focused HR role

• Skilled HR professional with broad based generalist experience in training & development, compensation & benefits, and workforce communications.

• Expert in industrial labor relations including union contract negotiations.

• Academically strong, with a Master's in Human Resources management, or other related degree required.

• Excellent communication skills that focus on clarity and simplicity, both written and oral.

• Experience and understanding of  international culture, gained from working outside of the U.S.

• Language skills: fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of another language like Spanish, is desirable.
