Director-Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
ThyssenKrupp Elevator Manufacturing has an immediate need for a Director of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing at the Germantown, TN corporate office.
This position is responsible for the following: Development of various strategies & channels that drive increased stability of commodity prices, understanding market price drivers, developing strategies to minimize risks. Coordination of global requirements by item and identification of most suitable supply scheme (global/regional/local). Lead strategic & tactical execution of all sourcing strategies and initiatives including vendor selection & negotiations. Identification of alternate materials not currently utilized and introduce them to business in order to drive cost, quality, responsiveness, and improved reliability. Provide technical support/skills development to the purchasing professionals in the department. Establish effective and ongoing communications and collaboration with all facilities and affected functions within the entire elevator business unit.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required and a MBA is preferred. Must have at least 7-10 years of related work experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Previous experience purchasing steel, formed and machined metal components, plastic components, electronic components, castings, transportation and logistics is preferred. Must have strong analytical and negotiation skills, possess the ability to lead and manage change in a global organization; along with strong leadership, communication and team building skills.
