Director, Logistics
The Director, Logistics is responsible for all areas of Purchasing/Planning, Material Control, Facilities and Security. This includes directing all warehouse activities for the company including receiving, stocking, order filling, supplying the assembly line, and shipping finished goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs all warehouse activities and staff members. Oversees Purchasing and Planning activities related to inventory and production. Purchases services, raw materials, components, machinery and office supplies. Coordinates sales forecasts to the purchase of materials in order to deliver supplies and parts on time and efficiently manage inventory to reduce costs. Directs the Data Integrity Program—an initiative designed to resolve systematic problems with company inventory processes. Identifies problems and coordinates staff member efforts to resolve problems with inventory procedures and systems. Manages all Nevada properties including maintenance, construction and cleaning. Coordinates service requests, office and equipment moves, and negotiates with landlords on all issues related to leases and costs. Manages cost control efforts and service issue resolution related to company telephone services. Directs the company's Security division involving all Nevada properties. This includes issuing badges and keys to Security personnel. Monitors property security systems and cameras and negotiates with outside security firms as required. Serves as the primary company contact with law enforcement in connection with any criminal acts occurring on company property. Directs the work of managers and supervisors in the areas of Material Control, Purchasing/Planning, Facilities and Security. Evaluates services and systems, solves problems, monitors performance and evaluates levels of customer service and related costs. Selects, trains, disciplines and evaluates direct reports and advises subordinate managers on human resources issues. Interacts with senior company officials in Nevada and Australia regarding inventory, purchasing, planning, production and other related issues. Participates in various standing and ad hoc company committees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Aristocrat Technology, Inc.'s policies and applicable laws. Performs other duties as assigned. Managers / Supervisors / Team Leaders must: Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and contractors within your area of control. Ensure all relevant sections of the Health and Safety Management plan are implemented and understood. Assess, review the effectiveness and consult with their team on any proposed changes of the OSHA Management System and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Ensure accident / incident investigations are conducted to determine their causes and take appropriate corrective action as required. Ensure injured workers are rehabilitated and an early return to the workplace is achieved. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislative requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Education:Â Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience in business administration, planning, production or systems analysis.
Â
Experience: Â Ten to fifteen years of experience in production, inventory management and procurement. Previous experience in project management is required. Â A minimum of five years of supervisory experience is required.

Skills, knowledge, and qualifications: Ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strategic planning and analysis skills. Must be able to work independently. Must be a creative, forward, positive thinker and team-oriented. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information regarding the company, products, and employee information. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment. May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lbs.
