Director, Benefits--Top International Manufacturing Company
Top International Manufacturing company seeks Director, Benefits for U.S. Headquarters. Primary responsibility will be to manage all Corporate Benefit Programs including Health and Welfare Plans, 401(k) Plan, and Deferred Compensation Program/SERP, including plan design and marketing in accordance with company policies and applicable ERISA rules and regulations for headquarters and more than thirty five affiliated Group Companies. Strategically manage these Programs in order to meet companies’ cost and quality objectives and to attract and retain employees. Present to, interact and communicate with Group Companies in order to maintain existing relationships and to encourage new participation. The Director, Benefits will also manage vendor relationships, compliance/audit processes and Benefits staff.
More specifically, additional responsibilities will be to:
Analyze trends in order to create programs that align with the companies’ requirements and direction as well as employees’ needs.
Coordinate 401K plan education, communication, investments and plan design across 15 companies.
Manage all vendors, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and vendor management.
Lead Benefits staff including planning, designing, evaluating work and hiring and training staff as required.
Work with Benefits Committee and outside auditors to maintain compliance with all regulations pertaining to Health and Welfare, 401(k), Deferred Compensation.
Requirements include a B.A./B.S. degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, along with 10+ years of experience in managing 401(k) plans, Health and Welfare Plan, Deferred Compensation/SERP and vendor relationships, auditing and compliance. The successful candidate must also possess a strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations. Microsoft Office Suite.
Other requirements include strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication and management abilities. Ability to manage multiple programs and strong knowledge of rules, regulations and laws pertaining to the design and implementation and operation of benefit plans and programs. .
