Detailer - CAD Operator

Since 1915, CMC has manufactured, recycled and marketed steel and metal products and related materials.  Today, we have operations in more than 200 locations worldwide.  We are looking for a Detailer to join our growing company at our Pittsburgh, PA facility.

 

The overall responsibility of the position is to review, check, and validate all detailed jobs for approval and fabrication before the bill of materials (BOM) are released for production.  Duties include review and check for correctness per the contract documents, verify job files for product information, ensure that BOM released for fabrication is correct, and coordinate between production and the customer the delivery of materials and erection field-use drawings and resolve any outstanding issues.

 

We require 2-5 years of structural steel experience or experience in a related industry. Candidate must be able to read architectural plans and specifications and possess excellent communication and organizational skills especially in file management.  Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Office Suite and Auto CAD (2000 & above). A High school degree or equivalent certification.  College degree a plus.
