Designer Manager

Manages the design department, all the design personnel and is responsible for the overall performance of the staff and department. Basic responsibilities include workload management, departmental budget adherence, representing design in sales presentations, professionalism and accuracy of department, etc.

 

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.  The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge of interior design field and current practices with the ability to design block and space plans.  Develop and present color/finish boards and selections.  Develops finished working drawings for specification and installation; validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and A&D drawing sets.  Develops product specifications; double-checks specifications against plans; gets specifications order-entry ready using an electronic specification program. 

 

Previous management experience is desired.  Candidate will have excellent communication, presentation and coordination skills to ensure project success and client satisfaction.  Autocad and Project Spec/CAP specification software skills are necessary.   Computer Aided Design is training and ability is required.
