Design Engineer – Product/Equipment

Valley Craft, a nationally recognized manufacturer of top quality material handling, storage, & custom solutions products has an immediate opening for a Design Engineer.

 

This role of this position is to perform engineering work planning and designing of equipment and processes to meet specific sales, production, and cost requirements.  

 

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success:

· Engineering project management – new, modifications

· Technical design and documentation

· Bills of material (BOM) and routings

· ECR/ECO process and approval

· Liaison with external vendors and customers

· Designing and engineering of new product and special design projects

· Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

· Mechanical design skills

Technical Skill Requirements:

· Product knowledge

· Manufacturing process knowledge

· Equipment knowledge

· Equipment software

· Business systems software

· Office systems software – word processing, spreadsheet

Experience/Education:

· CAD skills in Solidworks, Pro-E, or equivalent

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3 – 5 years experience
