Job title: Department Manager – Knitting Mill

 

Position description: Responsible for managing day to day manufacturing operations knitting department.

Specific duties:Manage Knitting, Double Needle Bar and Warping Operation.Improve departmental metrics including safety, quality, inventory, throughput, efficiency, and morale.Identify and reduce variation in the process to improve customer satisfaction and quality ultimately reducing cost and eliminating waste. Facilitate a cultural change in the mindset of employees across the department to a data driven culture.Strategic planning of department.



Requirements/Qualifications:5-10 years of management experience in a manufactuirng environment.Demonstrates an understanding and application of lean manufactuirng principles and 6 Sigma.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is perferred.Ability to coach and train department managers and supervisors..Ability to improve employee morale and engagement in order to drive lean and 6 Sigma initiatives.
