Credit and Collections Specialist

TBEI - Ox Bodies currently has an opening for a Credit and Collections Specialist at our Fayette, AL facility.
This working line position will be responsible for managing credit policy with tasks to include, but not limited to:
Setting up and maintaining corporate credit files with applications, updates and background information.Establishing Credit Limits by account based on gathered information from industry, professional credit, banking and personal referencesHolding or releasing orders to the production floor upon order receipt from the sales departmentCommunicating with the customer and sales force to “work out” difficult situations when possible, keeping the company’s interest a priorityWork with lockbox remittance daily to be informed of cash applications and promised collection receipts to release or hold orders to the plant floor or for shipment in an expedient mannerAssist management by reporting expected collections over a 90 day period for cash planning purposesCollection calls to the client base on a “consistent basis”Weekly and Monthly reporting of credit data
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills Strong knowledge of principles governing credit extension, accounting, cash posting, shipping and all operations affecting all processes resulting in billing the customer Able to document and analyze processes and recommend changes Able to negotiate with customers regarding credit issues in difficult circumstances Strong analytical skills Highly organized with excellent time-management skills Adept in managing multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to operate independently Technically proficient in all systems related applications Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and ERP systems
