Cost and Pricing Analyst

Lang Holdings, Inc. a leading supplier of high-quality calendars, stationery, specialty gifts and back-to-school products in North America and abroad is currently seeking a Cost and Pricing Analyst to join our team at our Delafield, WI headquarters. 

With three distinct and exciting brands, as well as proprietary relationships and licensing agreements with world-renowned artists and leading sports organizations, we deliver innovative and exclusive products for every age, interest and taste.

As a Cost and Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for all aspects of inventory accounting.  This will include determination and periodic review of standard costs, analysis and reporting of purchase price variances, monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory records to the general ledger, and coordination of the annual physical inventory process.

In this role you will develop, implement, and manage a costing tool to consistently identify all costs associated with acquiring individual products.  You will prepare monthly sales and gross profit analysis with commentary that will be included in the financial reporting package. As a Cost and Pricing Analyst, you will participate in process design, requirements documentation, and testing for inventory accounting in the new version of JD Edwards.  You will be able to showcase your ability to direct physical inventories at 3 locations on an annual basis. Your ability to compare budgeted costs to actual costs and identify the drivers behind significant purchase price variances will be critical to success.

Requirements:

·  Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required. CPA preferred

·  4 or more years relevant job experience with significant exposure to inventory accounting and the basics of standard cost accounting.

·  Strong analytical and communication skills are required

·  Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office desktop applications

·  Must be able to drive procedural or software changes to enhance reporting capabilities and improve efficiency

·  Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system is desired
