Position Description:
Currently we are seeking a Corporate Safety & Training Specialist to work under the direction of the HR Mgrs in IL and CA to implement and administer safety policies and procedures that are in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations. Must be willing to travel on a monthly basis to perform safety audits at our locations in California, Illinois and Wisconsin. Will partner with departments and supervisors to implement corrective actions identified during audits. Will coordinate investigations and produce required documentation to assist in determining corrective action needed and/ or to provide support. In addition will drive consistent Safety messages at all levels of the organization and once a year will complete annual training on topics like GMP’s, food safety, allergen, forklift training, etc.
Requirements:
Prior Manufacturing experience preferred and safety experience or related discipline required along with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
