Corporate Paralegal

CORPORATE PARALEGAL (NEWPORT BEACH, CA)

 

The corporate office of an established manufacturing company is seeking a Paralegal with between one to two years corporate law department experience. The candidate must have a high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to show initiative and to work concurrently on a variety of projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This position reports directly to a Senior Paralegal and will be part of a small legal department currently consisting of the General Counsel and the Senior Paralegal. The Paralegal will aid the Senior Paralegal and General Counsel by maintaining the open project list and files, keeping current the legal reference manuals, drafting and revising letters and memoranda, maintaining and updating department reference documents, processing various filings, maintaining minute books and working with outside counsel.

 

Other duties may include coordinating travel, organizing conference calls, receiving department calls and performing various administrative duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree.

Certificate from ABA approved paralegal program preferred.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook a must.

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential materials.

Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Must have a strong work ethic and excellent organizational and follow-through skills.

Ability to work independently.

Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
