The copywriter is responsible to assist the Creative Team Leader and/or Sr. Specialists in the planning, creation and execution of marketing communication materials which meet the needs of clients within approved budgets. Additionally, the copywriter will write copy or design in support of the client objectives, provide development of creative blueprints/timelines for all phases of communications including brochures, catalogs, internet, direct mail, trade shows, space advertising, public relations, packaging and P.O.P materials.


Responsibilities:

· Works closely with creative team and clients to ensure objectives are met and time efficiencies used.

· Provides copy or design assistance and creative blueprint development assistance to advertising, training and technical publications personnel.

· Writes or designs to meet communication objectives.

· Handles copy or design modifications on the worldwide web.

· Direct contact for salespeople and distributors in need of special communications materials including flyers, promotional items, etc.

· Assists in the development of trade shows.

· Understanding of web development including web browsers, search engines, HTML, web graphics, content management and other emerging internet technologies.

· Will evaluates/directs outside sources for promotional items.



Qualifications:

· A degree in communications, advertising, journalism or related discipline.

· 2-5 years business-to-business communications experience in an advertising agency or in-house advertising environment.

· Experience must include planning, project management, and copywriting or designing for collateral to video to web.
