Converting Services Administration

KapStone Charleston, S.C., mill operates one of the largest Kraft mills in the United States, with three paper machines operating around the clock, as well as a lumber mill located in nearby Summerville, S.C.  The paper mill produces industry-leading Saturating Kraft, used to make decorative and industrial laminates, KRAFTPAK one of the packaging industry’s lowest density, highest yield unbleached paperboard, and top-quality linerboard.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Provide daily technical and administrative support for Kraft Division converting services.  Follow up with each converter for shipment and freight information and process converting tallies in a timely manner. Monitor converting order packets for accuracy in order quantity and pricing.  Monitor off premise converters for documentation accuracy and timeliness, inventory accuracy, inventory problems, in-transit shipments, damage and damage claims, FIFO compliance, aged inventory management, and invoice payment.  Work closely with Sales on inventories and customer requirements.  This position is also responsible for analysis of cost to serve data and waste analysis.

 

This position will also work with and fill in for the Distribution Services Coordinator as needed for vacations and absences.

 

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:  College degree or significant related work experience required.

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:  Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization both internal and external.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional and innovative approach to business, excellent work ethic, analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to multitask while producing error free results.
