Location:Â Waterloo, IA 50704 Employment Type:Â Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration:Â 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code:Â 1001066134 Job Description: Control Systems PV&V Engineer will design/specify and/or develop hardware and software solutions for automated testing of engine control system software. - Specify hardware and software for engine control system hardware in the loop simulation. - Maintain engine control system automated test bench (es). - Create and maintain automated system tests for verifying engine control system software functionality. - Continuously improve engine control system PV&V processes. - Designing/modeling of Engine Control systems for diesel engines, using MATLAB Simulink - Schedule and coordinated dyno cells and engine assembly floor activity for Engine Engineering - Prepare specification decisions for adoption of engine control systems and other engine components Required Skills: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. 1-3+ years of Engineering experience Must have proficient experience with MATLAB Simulink Modeling Prefer engine design experienceExperience with testing of electronic controls system software. Programming language experience including some software testing. Familiarity with closed loop control system hardware and software. Familiarity with software development process. Familiarity with wiring schematics. Ability to implement algorithms in Matlab/Simulink. Ability to work in a team environment.Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing. Expert user of Matlab/Simulink. Familiarity with SAE-J1939 communications protocol. Experience with engine controls hardware and software. Experience with PC software development. Ability to travel up to 10% including internationally.
