Contract Administrator
This position is responsible for all aspects of contract administration, including processing paperwork, tracking documentation, logistics arrangements, and general small office administrative duties. * Independent analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ) associated with MAS, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, FFP, IDIQ type contracts. * Perform pre-award and post-award contract administration functions including, but not limited to: modifications, change order request, contract/ task order closeouts. * Prepare inter-company purchase orders, quotes, proposals, other official contract correspondence letters for appropriate authorizing signature. * Prepare and maintain contract files and briefs in accordance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements. * Perform pre-award review of task orders, solicitations, and specifications. * Independent follow through on all stages of contract administration. * General small office administrative duties, including filing, typing. * Assisting other Terex units with issues relating to government contracts. * Provide intra-Terex contract administration training as required. * Establish and maintain excellent customer relations, both internally and externally. * Must be a self-starter and positive team player. Level of Education Required: Desire Associates Degree and/or DAWIA or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Certification in Contract Administration. Experience Level: Desire five (5) years experience in relevant contract administration positions, preferably in federal government equipment/services acquisition or commercial equipment purchasing. Skills: * Sound judgment and capable of independent decision-making associated with contract management and administrative responsibilities. * Strong organizational and process mapping skills with attention to detail. * Good written and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software as well as Adobe Acrobat software. * Administrative experience in use of Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) System. * Working knowledge of U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and associated Department of Defense regulations (DFAR). * Knowledge of CPFF, CPAF, T&M, FFP, IDIQ type contracts. * Firm understanding of commercial purchase order sales process. * Familiar with quote/proposal development, electronic submissions, and subsequent negotiations. Language Requirements: English Travel: None Other Preferred Qualifications and Skills: * Previous experience in dealing with government contracts. * Experience in handling shipping documentation. * Price and cost analysis skills. Physical Requirements of the Job: * Frequent use of telephone and computer. * Sitting for extended periods of time. * Primarily work in a stable office environment 95% of the time. * Some requirement for independent travel in support of factory or customer program reviews and for training as may be required.
