Compliance Engineer

One of the top Manufacturing companies in the US is seeking a Compliance Engineer that will work closely with the Engineering and Sales departments to guarantee product conformance to required compliance information, including, but not limited to, UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, and NEC as dictated by product specifications. The Compliance Engineer will be an primary element in the expansion and improvement of the company’s sales and engineering teams.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Administer the compliance and certification programs for current and future products. • Work directly with certifying bodies and agencies to ensure product conformance, markings, and listings are achieved and maintained.• Utilize CAD hardware and software to generate component and assembly drawings.• Review and update of compliance documents.• Provide applications and design support to engineering department for compliance required designs and projects.• Work closely with Sales organization to create actions plans to increase effective market/sales coverage compliance related product lines. • Maintain documentation, permanent files and drawings as needed.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE or BSME) from four-year college or university plus (5) five to (8) eight years’ related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have, or be capable of acquiring, ability to handle UL, CSA, etc., compliance issues as noted above.
