Communications Manager

The Foodservice Packaging Institute, the trade association representing the single-use foodservice packaging industry in North America, seeks a Communications Manager. FPI is looking for an experienced, creative and multi-skilled individual to manage all communications responsibilities for the association.

 

In addition to the communications responsibilities, the individual may be asked to assist other staff members when needed. The success of FPI’s small staff – numbering three – has been the ability to work well together and support each other.

The office is located in Falls Church, Virginia; relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Write and Design Newsletters and Reports Maintain Web Site Content and Track Statistics Develop and Update FPI Materials Oversee use of FPI Logo and Industry Trademark Manage Media Relations Draft, send press releases Maintain media list Develop annual editorial calendar Propose, write articles for media Create new press kit Coordinate QSR-FPI Foodservice Packaging Awards Revitalize Linen & Lace Division marketing campaign

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: 3-5 years in communications (with a trade association a plus)

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: Organizational abilities including setting and defining goals and priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Excellent writing and oral communications Strong computer skills, including desktop publishing (Adobe PageMaker used currently). Strong attention to detail.
