Carrier Performance Analyst

DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:Managing carrier performance to and from McCormick’s Distribution Centers, Plants and Pool Distributors as it relates to on-time performance, drop trailer programs, and other transportation related services. Developing an understanding of McCormick’s customer receiving requirements and unloading practices to minimize expense. Developing, maintaining, and communicating carrier on-time delivery service reports. Providing support to the Transportation Planning team with carrier selections and expedited services. Working with McCormick Customer Service, Distribution Centers, Plants, Purchasing and Logistics personnel to initiate and implement continuous operational process improvements. Participating in the carrier selection process, rate negotiations and other transportation related projects as assigned.
DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
BS/BA in Logistics, Business Administration or related field required.2 - 3 years experience in Transportation, Distribution, and Materials Management required. Proven PC skills required.Experience with SAP, Manugistics, or other TMS software experience preferred. Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally the carrier performance reports, resolution and requirements. Ability to analyze data and make cost/service decisions required. Knowledge of optimum transportation planning decision and cost drivers. Must be able to work flexible schedule and overtime as required.
