CNC PROGRAMMER

Hensley is a leading manufacturer of Ground Engaging Tools for the Construction and Mining Industries.  We are looking for a highly motivated CNC Programmer to support our Pattern Shop Department.

This person will Assist the Pattern Shop by performing one or all of the below listed duties. Additional duties may be assigned as needed:

 

(a)  Design and make foundry patterns from wood, metal and plastic for sand molding process.

(b)  Understand and interpret technical design drawings of parts to be made on CNC milling and lathe machines.

(c)  Create tooling models, program tool paths, program CNC machines, select materials, tools.

(d)  Operate CNC machine to make pattern tooling, check critical dimensions.

 

Qualifications: 

 

Minimum 5 years experience as a bench patternmaker with journeyman skills using machinery and hand tools. Must be able to select materials and build patterns and core boxes from wood, metal, and plastic for foundry application. Must be able to maintain critical dimension tolerances.

 

Minimum 5 years experience as a CNC programmer and tooling designer. Must have experience with Mastercam or similar CAM package. Experience with Pro E, Solidworks, or similar parametric modeling software.
