CNC Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY:
Recognize and analyze CNC equipment or instrument malfunction or potential failure, in control systems and take corrective measures. Perform the following duties within all safe, sanitary and good housekeeping guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Maintain, test and repair CNC operational equipment.
CNC systems
Pneumatic systems
Electronic systems Perform
Basic to advanced Pneumatic/Hydraulic repair
Electrical/Electronic Component replacement
Elementary wiring
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all work with adherence to safety and standard operating procedures.Order replacement parts and equipment, within prescribed dollars limits, as necessary.Applies an extensive practical experience and knowledge base to develop alternative solutions to difficult and unusual machinery problems and assignments.Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationship within the company, facility and department.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and climb to heights of 20 feet.Be able to work without direct supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational training, technical trade school training is preferred.A combination of additional education/experience totaling six years, of which two (2) years of technical trade school training is preferred.Above average electromechanical abilities, language and math skills typically evidenced by a high school diploma or equivalent and vocational training.Five or more years of experience as a CNC Repair Technician.
