As a key member of the New Product Design Center, you will execute R & D projects and programs by conducting fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and solid structural analysis for new product development using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools (CFX preferred), and using finite element analysis (FEA).

The R&D function is charged with generating, exploring, and establishing feasibility of breakthrough ideas for new Bath & Kitchen products and processes. In support of this goal, the R&D Engineer, CFD/FEA will conduct fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and structural stress/strain/distortion/shrinkage analyzes on various new ceramic products and plastic/metal components. Working within a cross-functional product development team, he or she will define optimum design configurations using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analyzes (FEA). The R&D Engineer, CFD/FEA will also be responsible for expanding the utility of computational tools in the product development process. This will include developing new computational methods and applications experimentally verifying their accuracy, precision, and reliability.

•An advanced degree in mechanical engineering or engineering related discipline.
•Extensive experience in using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools(CFX software preferred).
•Experience with multiphase CFD analysis is preferred.
•Expertise in application of FEA to structural / mechanical problems. Experience with ANSYS software is preferred.
•Good working knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably ProEngineer.
•Broad knowledge of numerical analysis on elastic and plastic structures.
•Knowledge of materials science and engineering is a plus.
•Proven analytical/problem-solving skills and demonstrated creativity.
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and across business functions.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Six Sigma experience is also desirable.
