Buyer in North County
This growing and leading manufacturing company is looking to build its purchasing department with a seasoned Buyer looking for a new opportunity. The position is based in North County San Diego and is available immediately.
Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain relationships with assigned suppliers and resolved issues when required Work with internal customers to resolve disparities and problems Process purchase orders and manage from initiation to delivery of products/services Manage bids and negotiates rates Utilizes MRP system and various reports to assist in determining need/volume of raw materials and purchased goods Analyzes processes and procedures and makes recommendations for ongoing process/systems improvements Inventory management Audit suppliers and vendors
Qualifications, Skills and AbilitiesBachelor's Degree preferred but will consider candidates with at least 8 years of experience in lieu of education 5+ years of buying experience from managing bids, to negotiating prices, to comprehensive reporting 2+ years of analyzing and collecting data 2+ years of ERP/MRP experience utilizing system to assist with making purchasing decisions/recommendations Experience designing and recommending system enhancements and process/procedure improvements Excellent analytical, communication, customer service, and problem solving skills Ability to travel up to 15% (on a limited basis) International experience helpful
