Experience: The client, a National food manufacturer, is looking to add a talented Buyer/Planner to their Chicago team. One must possess the following skill sets to be considered for the role. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Science or related field. 3 or more years of procurement experience in for a manufacturer is required. 3 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to be successful in this role. Experience with MRP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics AX and Word and Excel. Description: The Buyer will be responsible for all raw materials replenishment for the site, assist with supplier selection and management, non-direct materials spend, special sourcing projects and support for the Purchasing department. Though this position is an individual performing role this individual will be communicating to a wide variety of both internal and external customers.
