Bachelors Degree preferred in a business or related field and/or equivalent work experience of 3-8 years working in a government purchasing or materials control system environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral are required as well as a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to research FAR requirements. Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and Microsoft Word as well as experience working with a manufacturing software system. The successful candidate will analyze and evaluate purchase requisitions and/or a Bill of Material and supporting documentation to determine requirements and to verify accuracy in order to develop the supplier bidder’s list and, if required, research and qualify alternate sources of supply. Issue Request for Quotations’, analyze supplier quotations, negotiate prices and terms, issue purchase order awards and prepare file documentation to substantiate supplier selection in accordance with company procedures and government approved procurement system requirements. The desired applicant must be able to handle multi-task situations in a fast paced environment while controlling open orders and delinquent orders, work performance issues and expedite deliveries in accordance with required delivery schedules. This job requires a high degree of organization skills and a detail oriented individual able to work accurately in a fast paced environment within limited timelines. This position requires someone who is a self starter, highly motivated, team player. Must be a US Citizen.
