Business Applications Support Specialist

Purpose As a member of the Business Applications team, the Business Applications Support will provide support to the user base on the suite of business applications, troubleshoot issues as they arise, help to educate users on correct use of applications, and keep maintenance over the general reliability of the day-to-day operations of our business applications. In addition, this person will lead EDI support and User Account administration.

Primary Responsibilities Provide first level support on trouble tickets submitted by users and promote tickets as necessary. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to provide excellent customer satisfaction Own User Account Administration by coordinating and contributing to setup of new users, modifications to existing users, and termination of accounts as requested. Become knowledgeable about the systems, functionality and data both at Burt's Bees and in the marketplace to recommend solutions and improvements with particular emphasis on applications and technologies supporting EDI Act as primary support for all EDI requests - respond to requests to set up new customers and troubleshoot issues with existing EDI customers Lead all EDI support-related meetings with internal customers to prioritize work and report out on all existing requests When required, contact vendors and/or external customers for resolution of any production support and EDI data issues Train end users on technology solutions to support an overall successful rollout of new technologies Contribute to the creation of support documentation for Business Applications and EDI

Minimum Recruitment Standards Strong analytical thinker with versatile problem-solving skills At least 1 year previous experience with EDI At least 1 year previous Help Desk experience Working knowledge of relational database structure Strong team player High attention to detail and follow-through Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated ability to learn and support new and existing technology Preferred Experience Experience with consumer packaged goods manufacturing and distribution environment Experience writing, modifying, and running SQL statements Familiarity with, or work experience in, GDSN setup/maintenance.
