Business Analyst Consultant

Flowserve is seeking an Oracle IT Functional Analyst to be a part of our Information Technology team. Principle Accountabilities In this functional role, the Oracle IT Functional Analyst will partner with Business, Divisional IT and implementation teams to provide solutions to meet business needs for new business system initiatives as well as ongoing application support. This individual will combine Oracle expertise with proven communication, analytical, and problem solving skills to support the development process and ensure that project / support deliverables are met according to specifications. Job Description: Evaluate business requirements, propose alternatives and implement functional solutions within the Oracle applications area. Propose business process improvements based on industry best practices using the Oracle Applications technology stack. Conduct gap analysis and write / maintain functional specifications for new or modified business processes. Consult and assist the technical team during design, development and testing of automated solutions. Create and assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, test scripts and procedures. Assist project leaders by scoping the proposed solution leading to accurate cost and time estimates. Accountable for providing leadership and facilitation for requirements gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings. Configure Oracle Applications 11i as required. Assist with security, Oracle responsibilities, alerts, workflow approvals and system privileges. Responsible for identifying and analyzing non-functional requirements such as system performance, usability, reliability, adaptability, security, and other operational aspects. Support all Oracle Applications patching, upgrades and maintenance activities by testing and troubleshooting functional issues. Lead functional acceptance testing of enhancements, patches and upgrades. Manage Oracle Service Requests (SR's) to resolution effectively. Lead system enhancements initiatives by designing and formulating solutions. Act as the liaison between the business and the technical team members through the solution delivery process. This position receives information from the business community (executives, managers and staff members), other functional analysts and many other team members within IT (development, infrastructure, testing, etc.). Required Experience: At least 10 years working as an IT Functional Analyst. At least 7 years working with Oracle Applications (MFG preferred). Strong Oracle multi org / multi currency experience within multi phase, global implementations. Experience in documenting complex business requirements and test scenarios. Strong SDLC experience required. Strong in Oracle AIM Methodology preferred. Experience with executing SQL queries and understanding the underlying structure of the most common Oracle Applications tables will be given preference.
