BURN TABLE OPERATOR - (Night Shift)
Position reports to: Material Prep Group Leader
Position Summary:
Position is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of the Plasma / Oxy Fuel burning table and the loading of material parts and machine set-up.
Position Responsibilities:Set up and burn with fuel gas bevel cutting tipSet up and burn structural shapes and e-dimension partsSet up CNC programs for cutting operationsSet up, adjust and operate to cut single or multiple pieces from sheet or plate stockSet up, adjust and operate both fuel gas and plasma functionsOperate machine, load and unload table simultaneouslyDiagnose and rectify burning programs and machine malfunctions ethically and professionally in compliance with all Company policies, as required)Makes improvement recommendations to Supervisor/ManagerPerforms other activities as required
Position Requirements:Prefer high school diploma or equivalent certificationMinimum of 1-3 years’ experience in use of plasma machine in a manufacturing environmentExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawingsStrong mathematical skillsExperience with programmingAbility to work under time-related deadlinesEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenBasic knowledge of materials, products and processes Willing to learn new product information, enhancements, etc.
