Salesperson - Tulsa
Reports To: General Manager
Summary: Represents location/s in the capacity of sales representative. Scope is an assigned territory with the potential of out of state travel.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
¨ Education: BS degree in Metallurgy or marketing is preferred. In lieu of this, extensive training and experience in industry is required including hands on experience reading/interpreting blueprints.
¨ Experience: Requires a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of heat treatment of aerospace alloys, including steel, aluminum, nickel, titanium, copper, brass, etc. Familiarity with commercial, aerospace, ASME, ASM and military specifications is required. Requires a proven, successful track record of marketing skills, sales techniques, and general business practices.
¨ Physical Demands: Must have a current driver’s license, maintain in good standing and be able to sit and drive for long periods to customers’ facilities and other required travel, possibly out of state.
¨ Environment: May be exposed to heat, fumes, humidity and noise.
¨ Must possess knowledge of plant and equipment capabilities in order to provide desired service to customers.
¨ Must be capable of pricing jobs by reviewing blueprints, estimating time, possible fixturing/tooling costs and actual heat treat cycles.
Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
¨ Responsible for follow up calls on budgeted accounts while maintaining acceptable levels of communication and business relationships.
¨ Prospects new customers using the established guidelines, including updating database.
¨ Perform daily sales calls to customer locations, including prospects and secured customers.
