Manufacturing/Production/Operations Total Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years  Relocation : In-country      Job Description   Black Belt – Operations Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products is a division of Tyco Safety Products and a worldwide leader in the fire suppression and building products industries. Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions.Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products (TFSBP) has recently been created by combining the 2 independent and successful businesses of Tyco Fire & Building Products and Tyco Fire Suppression. Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products is currently searching for a Black Belt to be located in Lansdale, PA. In this hands-on role, as a black belt, you are a full-time project team manager responsible for implementing and supporting the integration process model. You are knowledgeable and highly skilled in the use of the OpEx methodologies and tools in solving complex problems. Job Responsibilities: ∑ Facilitate and manage teams through complex projects and problem solving. Assist in group workshop planning and delivery. Apply OpEx (Six Sigma and Lean) tools and techniques to project execution. Conduct research and benchmark to industry and functional best practices and adapt to current processes. ∑ Key focus on business processes, blueprinting and project management of SAP implementation, transactional operations, change management leadership, and lean process techniques. Specific areas of interest can include but not limited to global manufacturing operations, customer service, finance, marketing, sourcing, sales and distribution, environmental health & safety, customer service, finance, marketing,operations, and strategic planning. ∑ Manage multiple site and business wide projects/programs concurrently. ∑ Identify business opportunities through partnerships with other employees or organizations ∑ Develop personnel in strategies and tools; coach and mentor team members ∑ Document new strategies and tools Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have an established record of excellence in project management and self-directed leadership. This individual will be action-oriented with a drive for results. They will have knowledge about how the organization works and knows how to get things done through both formal and informal channels. This person will be highly creative and an effective builder of teams and culture. ∑ Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field. ∑ Self-directed, team player with 3-5 years experience within an Operational excellence driven environment. ∑ Demonstrated experience in managing SAP or other similar ERP tool implementation for diversified manufacturing facilities in multiple global locations. ∑ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Training and certification through a Six Sigma accredited organization. ∑ Demonstrated knowledge of transactional tools, including: process mapping, VOC, QFD, Pareto analysis, and cause/effect analysis. ∑ Ability to organize and analyze relevant data from complex transactions. Able to apply expert knowledge and understanding of all interdependencies ∑ Demonstrated performance as a change agent with a strong record of accomplishment in leading major process improvement projects. ∑ Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills ∑ Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks. ∑ Proficiency with key PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) ∑ Strong presentation skills and comfort with speaking in front of large groups ∑ Statistical proficiency and comfort with project and statistical software is required.∑ Ability to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
