POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for providing a high level of troubleshooting, problem solving, layout designs, and process improvement projects which will help lead will help lead in its transformation to a total Lean Manufacturing environment.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Plans equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Works with Continuous Improvement teams to implement manufacturing improvements. Investigates and assists in resolving manufacturing and quality concerns. Performs a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/ processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner. Works closely with product development to determine manufacturing processes for new product introduction and major product revision. Develop and maintains standard work process sheets and engineering instructions. Provides plant support in development and implementation of productivity improvements. Provides data and analysis necessary to determine feasibility of project proposals. 

 REQUIRED SKILLS

 Ability to verbally communicate instructions as well as document instructions clearly in English and Spanish. Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (speak, read & write)Working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts. Must be a hands-on type of individual. Must have knowledge in the areas of punch press and assembly operations. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to an every changing priority structure

QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelors degree from an accredited 4 year college or university with an emphasis in (Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical). Minimum of 3-5 years of hands on manufacturing experience in a fast paced environment. Experience with AutoCad, layout and assembly fixture design.
