Our Human Resources Department is seeking a Benefits/Retirement Analyst to add to the team.

 

This role will assist in the administration and management of our defined contribution and defined benefit retirement programs.  This person will coordinate the plan audits and complete beneft plan filings including 5500s, premium payments, SARs and others.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:







1.  Work with plan record keepers, payroll vendors and Fortune Brands’operating companies to ensure that all defined contribution plans are accurately administered in accordance with plan documents and applicable regulations:

§ Fund plan contributions (weekly)

§ Resolving data issues and process data corrections

§ Coordinate the preparation of mid-year and annual non-discrimination testing

§ Process payments and refunds as necessary

§ Provide direction on plan processing changes

§ Assist in the development and review of plan communications

2.  Assist in the administration of defined benefit plans:

§ Fund plan contributions

§ Review trustee reports to ensure transactions are correctly processed and reported

§ Assist in the submission of data to the plan actuary

3.  Coordinate all required ERISA plan audits:

§ Provide direction and assist in the collection of data and documents for audit

§ Respond to questions and research information for the auditors

§ Prepare and review financial statements.

4.  Prepare and submit benefit plan filings and reports for DC, DB Health & welfare & other plans:

§ 5500s (extensions and final filings), 11ks, PBGC (initial and final filings), Summary Annual Reports

§ Submit electronically as required

5.  Resolve issues that arise with record keepers, plan actuaries, payroll vendors, carriers and operating companies in connection with plan administration.

6.  Coordinate plan mergers and spin-offs.

7.  Assist in the drafting and review of benefits related communications.
